Polk St Meeting on Van Ness BRT - Sept 4, 2013

Rapid transit is under attack on Van Ness Avenue. The Polk Street Naysayers that wounded bike lanes on Polk Street are setting their sights on Van Ness BRT. They are co-hosting a meeting this Wednesday at which SFMTA will present on BRT. We need your attendance - SFMTA needs to hear from transit riders.

The Polk Street Naysayers are using their usual scare tactics. In advance of the meeting, they are posting flyers in the neighborhood warning that BRT will "divert traffic to Polk" and "eliminate 43 of 51 parking spaces." They're trying to weaken BRT by packing the audience with pitchfork-wielding, parking-first rabble-rousers, as they've done before.

MTA needs to hear from transit riders. We've had enough with Van Ness buses being slow, crowded, and stuck in traffic. BRT is taking too long. We deserve bus-only lanes, and we deserve them now!
